QCU President Takes Part in Education Plenary Roundtable at First Asia-Pacific Family Peace Leadership Conference
The First Asia-Pacific Family Peace Leadership Conference took place from July 19-21, 2024, at The Manila Hotel in the Philippines. With the theme “The Essence of One Family Under God: A Platform of World Peace for a New Civilization,” the conference aimed to promote global peace through family-centered values and education and to unite efforts in building a peaceful civilization based on the principles of love, service, and righteousness.
Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, QCU President, played a significant role as a discussant in the Education Plenary Roundtable, which took place on the second day of the event. The roundtable focused on the topic “Education’s Role in Cultivating and Strengthening God-Centered Families and Individuals.” Chaired by Dr. Ernesto Ray G. Adalem, Chief Executive Officer. (CEO) of St. Clare College and Secretary-General of the Federation of Associations of Private School Administrators, the session also included distinguished discussants such as Dr. Ma. Junithesmer D. Rosales, a Professor at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and Dr. Lora L. Yusi, Regional Director of CHED Region III.
Dr. Atienza emphasized the crucial role of education in shaping values and fostering a culture of peace within families and communities. She also highlighted QCU’s initiatives in promoting ethical leadership and community engagement among students, employees, and local leaders.
The conference, which brought together leaders, educators, and peace advocates to discuss strategies for integrating family-centered values into educational systems, featured various plenary sessions, roundtable discussions, and a family festival showcasing cultural performances
