Digital Beauty Academy Produces 405 QCU Graduates
Quezon City University (QCU) proudly celebrated the graduation of 405 students from the pioneering L’Oréal Digital Beauty Academy (DBA) program in the Philippines. This initiative, a partnership among L’Oréal Philippines, the Quezon City Local Government Unit (QCLGU), SPARK! Philippines, and TikTok, empowers students with training in beauty, e-commerce, digital marketing, and social media management—equipping them with essential skills for today’s digital and beauty landscapes.
The ceremony, held on October 16, 2024, at Risen Garden, Quezon City Hall, recognized QCU as the first university to implement this four-week program.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, L’Oréal Philippines Country Managing Director Yassine Bakkari, SPARK! Philippines Executive Director Maica Teves, and TikTok Shop Philippines Marketing Lead Franco Aligaen attended the event, highlighting the collaborative effort behind this milestone.
Fifty top graduates showcased their skills in creating beauty-focused online content, with top achievers from Cohorts 1 and 2, Johanna Micaela Duyag and Rondina Bisda, delivering inspiring messages to their peers. Through this innovative program, QCU and its partners are committed to fostering digital competency and inclusivity, providing new professional pathways for graduates and empowering them to thrive in the beauty and e-commerce industries.
