QCU Receives THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 Recognition, Advances Global Standing in Sustainable Development

Quezon City University (QCU) strengthened its position in the global higher education landscape after formally receiving its official recognition for the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 during the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 held in Indonesia.
The official certificate of recognition was received by the QCU delegation on 23 June 2026, ahead of the official announcement of results released on 24 June 2026, marking another milestone in the University’s continuing journey toward sustainability excellence and international recognition.
Representing QCU at the congress were Dr. Ryan Arago, Dean of the College of Engineering; Ms. Angela Arago, Sustainability Officer; and Ms. Mary Ann Managdeg, Program Chairperson of the Department of Computer Engineering, on behalf of University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza.
In this year’s results, QCU achieved a higher overall standing, advancing to the 1001–1500 global band and attaining full participation across all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—an accomplishment that reflects the University’s strengthened institutional commitment to sustainability, innovation, inclusive development, and measurable social impact.
The recognition highlights QCU’s continued efforts to integrate sustainable practices into its academic programs, research initiatives, governance, community engagement, and strategic partnerships while contributing to solutions that address local and global challenges.
As QCU advances toward its vision of becoming an internationally recognized university, this achievement reinforces the institution’s commitment to creating transformative and sustainable outcomes for learners, communities, and future generations.
