Advancing Good Governance Through Evidence-Based Leadership

Quezon City University, in partnership with the Quezon City Government and the Barangay and Community Relations Department (BCRD), successfully concluded the five-day Certificate Course on Evidence-Based Policy and Decision Making under the Speaker Feliciano R. Belmonte Jr. School of Good Governance on June 27, 2026.

The culminating session brought together public servants, governance practitioners, and community leaders committed to strengthening institutional capacity and advancing responsive, evidence-based governance in Quezon City.

Serving as the final lecture of the training program, Prof. Herisadel P. Flores delivered a comprehensive discussion on Policy Design, Implementation, and Evaluation, highlighting the vital role of research, data, and evidence in developing effective public policies. The session underscored how evidence-based decision-making contributes to improved public service delivery, efficient resource utilization, and better outcomes for communities. Through practical frameworks and real-world applications, participants gained valuable insights into translating research findings into sound policies and measurable governance results.

The Speaker Feliciano R. Belmonte Jr. School of Good Governance continues to advance accountable, transparent, innovative, and ethical leadership by bridging academic expertise with practical governance. Through programs such as the Certificate Course on Evidence-Based Policy and Decision Making, the School equips current and emerging leaders with the competencies needed to address the evolving demands of public administration and governance.
