QCU to Host International Experts for I-RISE 2026 Insights Masterclasses

Quezon City University (QCU), in partnership with the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators, Inc. (APCORE), will hold I-RISE 2026 Insights on November 19, 2026, at the QCU Auditorium as part of the pre-conference activities of the 3rd International Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education (I-RISE) Hybrid Conference 2026.

The one-day learning event will feature three international experts who will lead masterclasses on research intelligence, global publication and collaboration, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in research.

The first masterclass, scheduled at 8:00 AM, will be facilitated by Dr. Ahmed Bourghida, Research & Analytics for Academics & Governments for South East Asia and India at Clarivate Singapore. His session, “AI-Powered Research Discovery and Research Intelligence Using Web of Science,” will introduce participants to research discovery and intelligence approaches using Web of Science.

At 10:00 AM, Dr. John Christopher Walsh, Dean of the British International College of Krirk University in Bangkok, Thailand, will lead the session “Publishing Beyond Borders: Strategies for Global Research Impact and International Collaboration.” The masterclass will focus on strengthening research visibility, international publication, and academic collaboration across institutions and countries.

The final session, at 1:00 PM, will be conducted by Dr. Indra Hermawan, Head of the IoT and Networking Expertise Group of Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia. His masterclass, “Using Artificial Intelligence in Research: Practical Applications and Responsible Use,” will explore practical applications of AI throughout the research process while emphasizing responsible, ethical, and appropriate use.

I-RISE 2026 Insights aims to provide faculty members, researchers, graduate students, research administrators, and other participants with practical knowledge and strategies that can strengthen research quality, visibility, collaboration, and innovation.

The sessions will be conducted onsite at the QCU Auditorium in Novaliches, Quezon City, and will also be streamed live via Zoom for registered online participants.

I-RISE 2026 continues QCU’s efforts to provide platforms for international academic exchange and to strengthen research and innovation through collaboration with academic, industry, and international partners.
