QCU Welcomes New Scholars Through Freshie Walk

Quezon City University (QCU) officially welcomed its newest batch of students through the Freshie Walk 2026 on August 17, 2026, at the QCU San Bartolome Campus Gymnasium.

The annual event brought together incoming freshmen from the University’s various colleges for the Freshie Walk and Parade of Colleges, marking their formal entry into the QCU community. University officials, faculty members, student leaders, and parents joined the celebration,
creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation as the students began their college journey.

In her welcome address, QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza encouraged the freshmen to make their years at the University meaningful by embracing sustainability, entrepreneurship, responsible financial management, and the purposeful use of technology. She challenged the
students to bring their learning beyond the classroom and become active contributors to society through innovation, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.

The program also introduced the college deans, giving the freshmen an opportunity to meet the academic leaders who will guide and support them throughout their studies. A highlight of the celebration was the Scholars’ Oath, where the students pledged their commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and service.

Messages from University officials and performances by QCU student organizations further welcomed the freshmen and gave them a glimpse of the vibrant campus life and opportunities that await them at the University.

More than a ceremonial tradition, Freshie Walk 2026 marked the beginning of a new chapter for QCU’s newest scholars. As they embark on their academic journey, they become part of a community committed to excellence, innovation, public service, and the development of future professionals and changemakers.
