QCU Participates in Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Technical Training
Quezon City University (QCU) participated in the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Technical Training held from May 22-25, 2023, at Ciudad Christia Resort, 9 Waves, San Mateo, Rizal. The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) organized the training in collaboration with the Office of Civil Defense – National Capital Region (OCD-NCR).
Representing QCU were Mr. Michelangelo B. Fulo, Director of the Batasan Campus, and Ms. Ma. Shirley C. Raneses, Director of the San Francisco Campus. They joined other officers from various Quezon City LGU departments and local organizations in the comprehensive training aimed at equipping participants with the necessary skills to assess and respond to disaster-related damage and needs effectively.
The RDANA training focused on enhancing participants’ capabilities in collecting and analyzing crucial data during emergencies. This enables local government units and organizations to provide timely, efficient, and accurate responses to affected communities. The event is part of Quezon City’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its disaster preparedness and resilience, with QCU playing a vital role in supporting community-based initiatives.
QCU’s involvement in the training underscores the university’s commitment to community engagement and disaster resilience, in line with its mission to contribute to public safety and sustainable development in the city.
