QCU Participates in A-GRaSS 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City
Quezon City University (QCU) participated in the 2025 Asian Graduate Studies Summit (A-GRaSS) held on May 21–23, 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) in Vietnam.
QCU served as a co-host partner of the international summit and played key roles in several high-level engagements. University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza delivered a talk during the A-GRaSS Research Bootcamp on the topic “Community Impact: Universities’ Foremost Responsibility.” She also signed multiple Memoranda of Understanding with international partner institutions and was elected as a member of the International Advisory Council of the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCoRE), representing the Philippines.
The University also led the the online sessions on May 21, with Mr. Angelito Bautista Jr. as lead organizer and Mr. Bernard Gaya as the technical focal person. Mr. Bautista later joined a panel of speakers during an executive session on World University and Impact Rankings alongside officials from Burapha University and HCMUTE.
On May 22, eight QCU faculty and administrative employees presented their research papers on site, covering themes aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 9. Two more QCU faculty presented online. Topics ranged from flexible work arrangements, multisensory learning strategies, hybrid education, and sustainability initiatives to innovations in university incubation and urban agriculture.
The summit concluded with the announcement that QCU, along with the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, will co-host the A-GRaSS 2026 in Tagaytay, Philippines.
