QCU Launches Food Waste Reduction Initiative to Promote Campus Sustainability
Quezon City University (QCU), through its Research, Extension, Planning, and Linkages – Research Management Office, has launched a targeted initiative to monitor and reduce food waste across campus as part of its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
This program collaborates with campus food service providers to track and minimize food waste, with the first set of results expected in 2024. In addition, the initiative will include student awareness efforts to promote responsible food management and sustainability practices.
“With this initiative, QCU aims to make a measurable impact on sustainability within our community, supporting our goal of a greener campus,” said Dr. Theresita V. Atienza.
