QCU Joins MetroMAARRDEC Meeting to Develop ARKK Research Proposals (Online)
Quezon City University (QCU), represented by Mr. Angelito P. Bautista Jr., Director of Research Management Office, participated in a virtual consortium meeting organized by the Metro Manila Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (MetroMAARRDEC) on May 4, 2026. The meeting centered on the development of potential project proposals for the Agham na Ramdam Kontra Krisis (ARKK) Program of the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST–PCAARRD).
During the meeting, consortium members discussed collaborative project concepts aligned with the ARKK Program’s priority areas, including food security, sustainable local food production, technology adoption, climate-resilient agricultural practices, and community gardening initiatives. The session also provided guidance on the preparation and submission of concept proposals in response to the program’s emergency call for quick-response research and development projects.
QCU’s participation reflects the University’s continued commitment to strengthening research partnerships and contributing science- and technology-based solutions that address emerging societal and environmental challenges.
