QCU and Philippine Red Cross Conduct Bloodletting Program to Support Life-Saving Efforts

SDG317

Quezon City University (QCU), in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), conducted a Bloodletting Program to bring together students, faculty members, administrative personnel, alumni, and community stakeholders in a humanitarian initiative promoting volunteerism, compassion, and social responsibility.

The activity aims to help replenish blood supplies for medical emergencies, surgical procedures, and patients requiring critical care. Through this collaboration, QCU continues to strengthen its commitment to community engagement and humanitarian service beyond the classroom.

Members of the QCU community were encouraged to participate in the initiative and become blood donors, demonstrating how a simple act of generosity can help save lives.

“Every blood donor offers hope to patients and families facing medical emergencies. Through this initiative, the QCU community reaffirms its dedication to serving humanity and creating positive impact beyond the University,” the organizers shared.

The bloodletting activity remained open until 3:00 p.m. on the day of the event, giving eligible donors an opportunity to contribute to a cause that supports the country’s healthcare needs.

Through programs such as this, QCU continues to promote civic responsibility, volunteerism, and community solidarity while encouraging its constituents to take part in meaningful humanitarian efforts.
