DA-ATI-Accredited QCU as Learning Site for Agriculture

A new chapter in agricultural innovation and experiential learning begins as Quezon City University (QCU) and the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, recognizing QCU as an official Learning Site for Agriculture I (LSA I) through its Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation.

As DA-ATI continues to serve as the country’s capacity builder, knowledge bank, and catalyst in strengthening the agriculture and fisheries extension system, this partnership with QCU marks a significant step toward integrating learning by doing, farmer-to-farmer education, and hands-on training into the heart of urban education.

Through its QCU-CUAI, the University now joins the ranks of ATI’s innovative extension modalities by providing a dedicated space for live-in trainings, farm tours, and on-the-job agricultural instruction — equipping learners, entrepreneurs, and communities with practical skills to complement classroom knowledge.

This reaffirms our commitment to accessible, sustainable, and transformative education for the next generation of agri-leaders throught the leadership of QC Mayor Joy Belmonte and QCU President Theresita Atienza.
