QCU Faculty Serve as Presenters and Session Chairs at XV ENCCULT 2025, Philippine Working Group 15
Faculty members of Quezon City University (QCU) represented the institution as both research presenters and session chairs during the Philippine Working Group of the XV National Meeting of Culture, Science and Technology (ENCCULT 2025) held on September 26, 2025, via Zoom. The event was co-organized by QCU, the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE), Inc., and the Universidade Estadual de Alagoas (UNEAL), Brazil.
Faculty Presenter from QCU
Mr. Jeffrey Cacho, from the College of Engineering – Department of Industrial Engineering, presented his study titled “Process Improvement Methodology: A Research Study of Process Improvement of Peppermint Tailoring via the use of Operations Research.” His presentation highlighted QCU’s commitment to applied research that directly contributes to efficiency and sustainability in local industries.
QCU as Session Leaders
QCU faculty also served as session chairs, helping facilitate breakout sessions and ensuring the smooth flow of discussions:
- Dr. Randel DL. Estacio, Dean of the College of Education, chaired the session on Education and Pedagogy.
- Dr. Erlee Angel S. Reyes, faculty member of the College of Business, chaired the session on Sustainability, Equity, and Community Development.
Their leadership underscored QCU’s active role in promoting scholarly exchange and academic engagement in the global arena.
Global Collaboration
The Philippine Working Group, themed “Philippine Perspectives, Innovations, and Research in Education, Science, and Social Development within a Global and Digital Context,” featured 22 presenters from 12 universities and institutions, including Cebu Technological University, Tongji Medical College (China), Southern Luzon State University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, iACADEMY, Universidad de Manila, Adamson University, Cavite State University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza commended the faculty for their contributions:
“The participation of our faculty and employees in ENCCULT 2025 is a clear demonstration of QCU’s growing global presence and its dedication to research that is ethical, innovative, and socially responsive.”
Through these roles, QCU faculty showed both academic excellence and professional leadership, further solidifying the University’s position as a strong contributor to global research dialogues.
