QCU Hosts 1st NCR ASEAN Dialogue, Opens 2026 ASEAN Month Celebration
Quezon City University, in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education National Capital Region (CHED NCR), successfully hosted the 2026 ASEAN Month Opening Ceremonies and the 1st NCR ASEAN Dialogue on August 3, 2026, at the QCU Auditorium.
The event gathered higher education leaders, educators, international relations officers, quality assurance advocates, faculty members, and academic stakeholders to strengthen regional collaboration and explore the role of ASEAN cooperation in advancing future ready higher education.
The dialogue highlighted key priorities, including promoting ASEAN identity and regional cooperation in higher education and national development, expanding academic networks to enhance teacher education in the digital era, and strengthening institutional quality assurance to foster a culture of excellence among higher education institutions.
The program featured distinguished resource speakers Asst. Prof. Lorena Jean D. Saludadez, Program Chair of the Master of ASEAN Studies at the University of the Philippines Open University Assoc. Prof. John Carlo M. Ramos, Executive Director of the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network and Prof. Dr. Wyona C. Patilnghug, Special Advisor to the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Executive Director on Quality Assurance and Lead Assessor for the ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
Through initiatives such as the 2026 ASEAN Month Celebration and the 1st NCR ASEAN Dialogue, QCU continues to strengthen internationalization efforts, foster regional partnerships, and contribute to the advancement of quality, inclusive, and globally competitive higher education across the ASEAN region.
