SDG 4 8 9 17

“Elevating Ventures of Engineering Technological Innovation,” is the theme of TechKNOWvate on August 30, 3024 held at the QCU Auditorium, participated by QCian engineering students.

This event intends to motivate students in becoming technological entrepreneurs by absorbing ideas about existing technopreneurship ventures and utilization of engineering knowledge in the market.

In her talk, Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, QCU President, mentioned that technology isn’t just limited to something that runs through electricity. Anything, may it be electricity-powered or not, that helps to make lives easier, can be considered technology.

Engr. Richard R. Matias, CEO and President of Terra Hertz, a resource speaker, introduced the Japanese concept, “Ikigai,” which translates to “a reason to live” in order for him to discover his purpose in life and to find out which path he should take. He also encouraged the audience to utilize Ikigai as well by presenting the possible list of industries and companies that they can be applied to after using this concept.

The event was also graced by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Bradford Antonio C. Martines and was concluded with a closing message from Engr. Ryan F. Arago, DT, College of Engineering Dean.
