QCU and Family Peace Association Forge Partnership to Advance Peace Education and Community Engagement

SDG41617

Quezon City University (QCU) strengthened its commitment to peace education, family values, and community engagement through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Family Peace Association–Philippine Chapter (FPA) on October 21, 2026, at the QCU San Bartolome Campus.

The signing ceremony was led by QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, together with FPA President Dr. Michael Zablan and FPA–Youth National Director Mr. Jayson Villacin, representing the partner organization.

The partnership aims to promote family-centered peace education, strengthen youth leadership, support collaborative research, and expand community-based peacebuilding initiatives. It also supports the implementation of Project SIKAP for Peace, QCU’s institutional initiative integrating capacity building, student leadership, action-oriented research, and community extension.

Through this collaboration, QCU and FPA seek to create meaningful opportunities for students, faculty members, university personnel, and partner communities to participate in peace education and advocacy. The partnership also provides a platform for collaborative efforts that encourage responsible leadership, strengthen family and community relationships, and promote a culture of peace.

Through initiatives such as Project SIKAP for Peace, QCU continues to advance its commitment to education, research, and community service that contribute to peaceful and inclusive communities.
