QCU Welcomes Pasig City Delegation for Urban Farming Benchmarking
Quezon City University (QCU) recently hosted officials from the Pasig City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) for a productive exploration of urban farming technologies.
QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza warmly welcomed the visitors last March 19, 2024 and engaged in discussions focused on enhancing urban farming initiatives in Pasig City.
Dr. Atienza personally guided the visitors on a tour of the QCU Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation (CUAI) as well as the newly inaugurated Urban Farming Innovation and Learning Center. Also present during the visit were officials from Child Champion Consulting, Emerson Fababaer, and Jo-Ann Caberoy, along with Charlie Fababaer from Pasig City Science High School.
Throughout the visit, Dr. Atienza, accompanied by Mr. Romel Sevilla, Director of QCU-CUAI, showcased the innovative urban farming technologies and initiatives of QCU. The aim was to provide the Pasig City delegation with practical knowledge and strategies for implementing similar initiatives in their own city.
