QCU and Leave a Nest Strengthen Partnership to Advance Agripreneurship Education
Quezon City University (QCU) continues to expand its efforts in fostering innovation and sustainability through its partnership with Leave a Nest’s BeAGRI Education Program, an initiative focused on developing future-ready Agri-Technopreneurs by integrating urban agriculture, Japanese agritech, and talent development.
On June 1, 2026, QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza met with Tsuyoshi Inoue and Ronezza Delos Santos, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Philippines, to discuss upcoming activities and collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening agripreneurship education and enhancing opportunities for students.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of QCU and Leave a Nest to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and innovative mindset needed to address emerging challenges in agriculture and food systems. Through the BeAGRI Education Program, students are exposed to interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agricultural practices.
By integrating concepts in urban agriculture and global agritech innovations, particularly from Japan, the partnership seeks to prepare students to become leaders and innovators capable of developing solutions that promote food security, environmental sustainability, and resilient communities.
The collaboration also supports QCU’s broader mission of advancing experiential learning and innovation-driven education. Through future activities under the program, students will have opportunities to explore smart farming technologies, sustainable urban agriculture practices, and entrepreneurial approaches that can contribute to the transformation of the agricultural sector.
