QCU vies for Level III ALCUCOA Accreditation
Accreditors from the Association of Local Colleges and Universities – Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) inspected Quezon City University (QCU) programs at San Bartolome campus, for a three-day Level 3 Accreditation Survey Visit on December 4-6, 2024.
The four programs that underwent Level III Accreditation Survey Visit were Bachelor of Science (BS) in Entrepreneurship, BS Information Technology, BS Electronics Engineering and BS Industrial Engineering.
The ALCUCOA Accreditation team was led by Dr. Elena E. Presnedi, Supervising Accreditor and Accreditor for BS Entrepreneurship program, including:
- Prof. Catherine Catamora, Program Accreditor for BS Information Technology
- Dr. Ricky C. Dimaapi, Supervising Technical Assistant
- Engr. Lourdes P. Lasian, PIE, Program Accreditor for BS Industrial Engineering
- Engr. Framces Thea Z. De Mesa, Program Accreditor for BS Electronics Engineering
- Prof. Roilingel P. Calilung, Accreditor for Library
The three-day accreditation survey visit included document review and validation with interviews of the University officials and accreditation point persons, classroom observations, a campus tour, a stakeholders’ conference, and a site tour for the community extension programs.
For the community visit, accreditors visited the following:
- Barangay Sauyo – featuring these projects: Computer Literacy Program for Barangay Administrative Personnel and ALS-OSY of Barangay Sta. Lucia, Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) Project – QC Youth Entrepreneurship Program and IErgonomics Cart
- Barangay Novaliches Proper showcasing the projects: Sharon Farm, Coldframe and Greenspace
- QC Female Jail Dormitory at Camp Caringal, Quezon City – presenting the BS Entrepreneurship students and classes
The accreditation visit was coordinated and organized by the Director of Quality Assurance Office led by Dr. Glenda Rebucas.
