QCU Kampus Ambassadors Join Project CAPE Climate Resilience Activities

SDG4 11 16

Quezon City University (QCU) strengthened its engagement in climate action and community resilience through the participation of its Kampus Ambassadors in Project CAPE (Climate Action and Participatory Experiments for Urban Resilience) during the Lakbay Baybay and Futures Fest held on September 22–23, 2026.

Lakbay Baybay provided participants with a community immersion experience focused on climate justice and local approaches to building climate-resilient communities. The activity brought together communities, government representatives, and project partners to exchange perspectives and explore community-based responses to climate challenges.

The succeeding Futures Fest highlighted the outputs and learnings of Project CAPE, featuring discussions and activities on community storytelling, policy development, futures thinking, and urban climate initiatives.

Representing QCU were Kampus Ambassadors Reigne Bradley Silva and Jeiazel Lazaro, who participated in community engagements, exchanged perspectives with fellow participants, and gained insights into climate action and locally driven approaches to resilience.

Their participation reflects QCU’s continuing commitment to providing students with opportunities to engage in community initiatives and deepen their understanding of sustainability and climate action beyond the classroom.

Through student participation in initiatives such as Project CAPE, QCU continues to encourage young people to contribute to community resilience and become active partners in addressing emerging environmental and social challenges.
