QCU Celebrates the Opening of Classes Through “Daan ng Sulo: Pagbubukas ng Panibagong Yugto”

In time for the opening of classes and to welcome the freshmen for Academic Year 2023-2024, Quezon City University (QCU) held its “Daan ng Sulo: Pagbubukas ng Panibagong Yugto” on August 16, 2023 at the QCU  San Bartolome Campus, Novaliches, QC.

The event was organized by the QCU Student Affairs and Services Division, in cooperation with the different university academic and non-academic organizations, to welcome the almost 3,000 freshmen students.

The celebration started with a walk around the QCU Triangle followed by the presentation and cheer dance performance of the student organizations at the QCU Quadrangle.

In her message, Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, University President, reminded the students to do their best as they pursue their chosen careers.

“Ang unang unang ipapaalala sa inyo ng University President— ang ipapaalala ko sa inyo, isa lang: Mag-aral ng mabuti. Kasi ang vision natin sa Quezon City University, is to be the number one local university of employable graduates,” Dr. Atienza stated.

The event ended with the freshmen singing the QCU hymn for the first time in their university life. Afterward, each college put up their respective freedom walls where the students were allowance to write their messages.
