QCU Expands Academic Partnerships at GSDC 2026
Quezon City University (QCU) is expanding its international academic network through three Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with higher education institutions from Bangladesh and Indonesia. The partnerships with American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), and Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) emerged from QCU’s participation in the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026, held on June 22–25 in Tangerang, Indonesia.
The MOUs signify the institutions shared interest in pursuing academic and research cooperation, including collaborative research, faculty and student mobility, academic exchanges, joint conferences and training programs, curriculum enhancement, and sustainability focused initiatives.
The signing ceremonies during the congress were witnessed by Engr. Ryan Arago, Dean of the QCU College of Engineering, together with members of the QCU delegation. Following the event, the signed agreements were formally transmitted to QCU for institutional review and the signature of University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, in accordance with University procedures. The partnerships build on QCU’s participation in GSDC 2026, which brought together university leaders, researchers, policymakers, and sustainability practitioners from around the world. The congress provided opportunities for QCU to explore new linkages in research, innovation, academic exchange, and sustainable development.
Through these partnerships, QCU continues to strengthen its internationalization efforts and create opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers to engage in global academic collaboration. The three MOUs further support QCU’s commitment to advancing quality education, research and innovation, and sustainable development through meaningful international partnerships.
