Politeknik Negeri Jakarta Delegation Visits QCU for Collaboration Talks
Quezon City University (QCU) President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza welcomed representatives from Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) during their visit to QCU from October 29-31, 2024.
Dr. Atienza highlighted the importance of international partnerships, stressing that such collaborations play a vital role in QCU’s mission to provide transformative, globally competitive education. She expressed her optimism about the potential impact this partnership would have on students, faculty, and the wider community.
In his remarks, Dr. Indra Hermawan, Head of PNJ’s IoT and Networking Expertise Group, expressed the institution’s enthusiasm about the collaboration. He emphasized that the partnership would offer mutual benefits, particularly in the areas of academic exchange and research initiatives.
Dr. Hermawan also presented a video showcasing PNJ’s institutional strengths in IoT, cybersecurity, and technology innovation, which closely align with QCU’s educational and research goals.
The two institutions engaged in a detailed exchange of insights regarding their engineering and computer science programs, focusing on areas of synergy and opportunities for enhancement. PNJ representatives provided an overview of their structured approach to networking education, which includes hands-on training in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation (ENSA). They emphasized their strong partnership with Cisco, which ensures their curriculum remains aligned with the latest industry standards.
Both QCU and PNJ also discussed the development of a framework for faculty and student exchanges, aimed at fostering data gathering, collaborative research, and cross-cultural academic development.
