SDG 4 5 10

The Quezon City University (QCU) Center for Gender and Development (GAD) launched a GAD exhibit on March 2, 2026, at the Academic Lobby of QCU–San Bartolome Campus, featuring educational displays on the changing roles of women from the Spanish colonial period to the present.

Held as part of the University Week celebration of QCU’s 32nd Foundation Anniversary, with the theme “QCU, We RISE Stronger Together,” the exhibit presented visual timelines and informational materials that showed women’s evolving participation in the economy, education, politics, and social leadership and advocacy.

Students and visitors viewed the displays throughout the day, with many engaging in discussions on key milestones and continuing challenges in gender equality in the Philippines. The exhibit highlighted the transition from women’s limited participation in earlier periods to their broader representation as leaders and professionals in contemporary society.

The GAD exhibit forms part of the university’s week-long activities promoting awareness, equality, and inclusive education across the QCU community.
