A-KOW ang Simula Year 2 Launches Community Learning Initiative in Barangay Sauyo
The second year implementation of Karunungan on Wheels: A-KOW ang Simula officially commenced with the successful conduct of its Pre-Assessment and Evaluation of Participants on May 7, 2026, at the Baluyot II-B Covered Court in Barangay Sauyo.
Serving as a vital preparatory activity for the program’s upcoming 20-day learning sessions, the assessment aimed to evaluate the participants’ learning levels, needs, and capacities to ensure a more responsive, inclusive, and meaningful community-based educational experience.
The initiative is led by the Barangay Sauyo – Barangay Council for the Protection of Children in partnership with Quezon City University and World Vision Philippines. Through this collaboration, the program continues to strengthen community education, child development, and volunteer-driven public service initiatives.
The activity was actively supported by administrative personnel from the university through the QCU Extension Management Office, demonstrating that members of the university community extend their contributions beyond institutional operations by becoming active partners in community empowerment and transformative extension programs.
Through initiatives like A-KOW ang Simula, QCU continues to bring education closer to underserved communities while fostering meaningful partnerships that create lasting social impact. The program reflects the university’s enduring commitment to inclusive learning opportunities and the belief that every child deserves a strong beginning toward a brighter future.
