Quezon City University (QCU) showcased its culture of innovation and excellence as the CANOPHEX Drone System secured Top 6 during the ROTC Innovation Expo 2026, held on May 17, 2026, at Technological University of the Philippines.

Competing against 21 outstanding capstone research entries from across the region, the QCU-developed CANOPHEX Drone System demonstrated exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and research innovation, earning recognition among the event’s top-performing projects.

The ROTC Innovation Expo gathered some of the brightest student innovators and researchers to present technology-driven solutions designed to address real-world challenges and contribute to national development. Amid strong competition, the CANOPHEX team successfully stood out through its innovative drone technology and impactful research concept.

In addition to earning a coveted Top 6 finish, the team also received a cash prize in recognition of their remarkable achievement and dedication to technological advancement.
