QCU, World Vision Philippines Formalize Partnership Through MOU Signing
On September 3, 2026, Quezon City University (QCU) and World Vision Philippines formally strengthened their institutional partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at QCU.
The MOU was signed by QCU by Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, University President, together with University officials and representatives from the Research, Extension, Planning and Linkages (REPL) and different colleges.
Representing World Vision Philippines were Mr. Reynaldo Montimor, Ms. Abigail Joy Bayucan, Ms. Diane Lara, Mr. Reynaldo Cesar, Ms. Welhemina Seda, Mr. Jomarie Bas, and Ms. Katrina Hallare. In her welcome message, Dr. Atienza emphasized the importance of institutional partnerships in strengthening the University’s capacity to respond to the needs of its students and partner communities. She highlighted how meaningful collaboration allows QCU to extend its knowledge, expertise, resources, and facilities beyond the classroom and contribute to broader community development efforts.
On behalf of World Vision Philippines, Mr. Montimor expressed the organization’s appreciation for the opportunity to formalize its partnership with QCU. He underscored the value of bringing together the University’s academic and technical expertise and World Vision Philippines’ community-based experience and networks to develop initiatives that are responsive to the needs of communities.
The MOU establishes a framework for future cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including education, research, extension and community engagement, capacity building, youth development, livelihood and skills development, sustainability, innovation, and other community-focused initiatives.

Following the signing ceremony, representatives of both institutions discussed potential areas for collaboration, with emphasis on developing initiatives that are community-responsive, inclusive, sustainable, and outcome-oriented. The World Vision Philippines delegation also toured the QCU
campus, including a visit to the QCU Center for Urban Agriculture and Innovation (CUAI), to explore University facilities, programs, and expertise that may support future collaborative initiatives.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of Quezon City University and World Vision Philippines to translate institutional collaboration into meaningful and sustainable programs for communities and their beneficiaries.
