QCU Team CANOPHEX Earns National Recognition at Leave-A-Nest TECH PLANTER Philippines 2026
Quezon City University (QCU) continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and sustainability as Team CANOPHEX earned national recognition at the Leave-A-Nest TECH PLANTER Philippines 2026, one of the country’s premier platforms for deep-tech and technology-driven innovations.
Competing alongside student researchers, startups, and industry professionals from across the Philippines, Team CANOPHEX showcased its innovative project and achieved several significant milestones during the national competition.
The team was named a Wadhwani Foundation Awardee, recognizing the project’s strong potential for business scalability and meaningful social impact. The award provides opportunities for economic incubation and specialized entrepreneurship training, supporting the team’s journey toward commercialization.
Team CANOPHEX was also selected as a Lightning Talk Presenter, delivering a compelling three-minute pitch on how its automated technology can be deployed to address pressing environmental challenges. The presentation highlighted the project’s contribution to sustainable innovation, particularly in advancing climate resilience and environmental conservation.
In addition, the team received valuable insights and mentorship from venture capitalists, technology experts, and innovation leaders, helping strengthen the project’s pathway from academic research to real-world application and market readiness.
This achievement underscores the quality and impact of QCU’s research and innovation initiatives, proving that student capstone projects can evolve into nationally recognized solutions with the potential to address real-world challenges.
