QCU Strengthens Industry Linkages Through Visit to WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 Training

On August 6, 2025, Quezon City University (QCU) officials visited Hytec Power Inc. (HPI) to witness firsthand the preparations for the upcoming WorldSkills ASEAN 2025. The engagement underscored QCU’s commitment to forging strong academic-industry partnerships that open pathways for students to achieve global competitiveness in technical and vocational fields.

Leading the QCU delegation was University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, joined by Dr. Ryan Arago, Dean of the College of Engineering and OIC Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Isagani Tano, Dean of the College of Computer Studies; and Engr. Leonard Catchillar, Program Chair of Electronics Engineering.

During the visit, QCU officials toured Hytec’s state-of-the-art training facilities, observed ongoing skills development activities, and engaged in productive discussions with HPI leaders on aligning industry training with academic programs. These conversations emphasized the importance of industry support in shaping graduates who are not only job-ready but also globally competitive.

With the Philippines set to host WorldSkills ASEAN 2025, QCU reaffirms its dedication to producing future professionals who embody excellence, innovation, and leadership.
