Sowing Seeds of Innovation and Impact: QCU-CUAI x Ateneo
On September 3, 2025, a meaningful collaboration unfolded as representatives from Ateneo visited the QCU-CUAI Farm for an educational and experiential tour — a day rooted in learning, growth, and shared advocacy for sustainable development.
The event began with a heartfelt welcome from Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, and inspiring opening remarks by Mr. Romel O. Sevilla, setting the tone for a day of purpose-driven engagement.
Through the insightful presentation of Engr. Justin F. Malindao, participants discovered the mission, vision, and core values of CUAI — a farm built on Resiliency, Innovativeness, Stewardship, and Equity (R.I.S.E.), the very essence of QCU’s commitment to uplifting communities and empowering changemakers.
From seed sowing techniques by Mr. Dexter Penohermoso to a hands-on Hydroponics Demonstration led by Mr. Adrian Arellano, the tour bridged theory and practice — culminating in a hands-on planting activity that allowed each Ateneo representative to experience the transformative power of agriculture firsthand.
This monumental exchange is more than a visit — it’s a shared vision for a future where education, innovation, and stewardship converge to cultivate leaders of social change.
