QCU’s KRA Workshop: Building a Stronger Future Through Empowerment

SDG 4 8 9 17

Quezon City University (QCU) conducted a Key Results Areas (KRA) Development Workshop, providing faculty members and university stakeholders with a platform to reflect on their roles in achieving QCU’s Institutional Development Plan (IDP) for 2026–2031.

The workshop aimed to enhance the alignment of individual and departmental efforts with the university’s overarching strategic goals.

Mr. Angelito Bautista Jr., QCU Director for Research Management Office is the first resource speaker, he underscored the significance of KRAs as measurable and actionable targets that drive QCU’s mission toward excellence in higher education. He elaborated on how integrating KRAs into the IDP ensures that every initiative undertaken by faculty and staff contributes to institutional success.

The second resource speaker, Dr. Rovena Dellova,  provided concrete examples of well-defined KRAs using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) framework. She demonstrated how faculty members can develop structured KRAs that align with their departmental objectives.

Following the presentations, faculty members participated in an interactive workshop, where they answered guided reflection questions to define their individual and departmental KRAs. Participants reflected on their primary responsibilities, daily activities, unique expertise, and departmental contributions to institutional growth.

By fostering a shared understanding of institutional priorities, the KRA Development Workshop empowered faculty members and university leaders to actively contribute to QCU’s growth, innovation, and excellence in education.
