QCU to Host AMCen for DOST-NCR PAMAMAZON Cluster
Quezon City University (QCU) will host an Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMCen) under the DOST-NCR PAMAMAZON Cluster, strengthening its role in advancing research, innovation, and technology-driven solutions in the region.
QCU joined the Department of Science and Technology–National Capital Region (DOST-NCR), Marikina Polytechnic College, and the City Government of Malabon in the signing of Memoranda of Understanding for the establishment of AMCent facilities.
The QCU-based AMCen will serve the PAMAMAZON Cluster, covering Pasay, Makati, Manila, and Quezon City. The facility will provide greater access to additive manufacturing, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, training, and research services for students, researchers, innovators, industries, and communities.
The agreements were signed by DOST-NCR Regional Director Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles and Assistant Regional Director Ms. Bianca Claudette R. Canlas, and witnessed by DOST Secretary Dr. Renato U. Solidum Jr. Representing QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza was Research Management Office Director Mr. Angelito P. Bautista Jr.
The partnership highlights QCU’s continuing commitment to research and development, technological innovation, and industry and community engagement, while creating opportunities for learners, researchers, and innovators to access advanced manufacturing technologies.
