QCU Opens New Gymnasium to Enhance Campus Life and Student Development

Quezon City University (QCU) officially inaugurated and blessed its new gymnasium on March 3, 2026, marking a significant addition to the university’s facilities that support student development and campus engagement.

The blessing ceremony was led by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and QCU President Theresita V. Atienza, with Rev. Fr. John Harvey David Bagos presiding over the ceremonial blessing.

The new gymnasium is expected to serve as a venue for sports competitions, physical education classes, assemblies, and cultural programs, providing students with a space that promotes both physical wellness and community activities.

Its opening coincided with the university’s annual University Week celebration, highlighting the continued collaboration between Quezon City University and the Quezon City local government in improving campus infrastructure and creating a supportive learning environment for students.

University officials emphasized that the facility reflects QCU’s commitment to holistic education by fostering not only academic growth but also physical and social development among students.
