QCU Joins Sine Niña Docufilm Screening and Girls’ Rights Forum
Quezon City University (QCU) joined the Sine Niña Docufilm Screening and Girls’ Rights Forum in celebration of Girls’ Month, bringing together government leaders, educators, advocates, and young changemakers to promote girls’ rights, gender equality, and women’s empowerment.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte encouraged young women to protect their curiosity, ask bold questions, pursue greater ambitions, and claim their space. She emphasized that this year’s theme, “Invest in Girls’ Rights,” calls for equal opportunities, meaningful support, and spaces where girls and young women can make their voices heard.
Mayor Belmonte also shared the message, “Hindi tayo babae lang, bagkus, babae tayo kaya kaya natin ’yan,” highlighting the strength and potential of women.
The forum provided a platform for discussions on leadership, education, and the protection of girls’ rights. QCU’s participation reinforces its commitment to inclusive education and youth empowerment, supporting the development of future leaders who can contribute to a more equitable society.
QCU extends its gratitude to SPARK PH for the invitation and for its continued efforts to inspire and empower the next generation of women leaders.
