QCU Graduation 2025-Batch Sinagtala: Upholding Resiliency, Innovation, Sustainability, and Equity

SDG 4

On July 1, 2025, we celebrate not just the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance—but the birth of a new generation of leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.

Batch Sinagtala, you are the light that breaks through the darkness. You are the hope that rises with resilience, the minds that innovate, the hearts that uplift, and the voices that champion equity.

Hon. Gian Carlo G. Sotto, Vice Mayor of Quezon City, inspired us with these powerful words: “Education does not only teach theories; it gives you a voice that I hope and pray will be solutions for our country’s pressing challenges. Be part of nation-building. Pay it forward.”

Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, University President, with pride and honor, introduced the esteemed Commencement Speaker.

Delivering a heartfelt and empowering Commencement Address, Hon. Cecile L. Ang, QCU Board of Regent, Representative from the Business Industry, reminded us:  “Hindi lahat tayo makakahanap agad ng trabaho na pangarap natin… Pero that’s okay. Ang mahalaga, huwag kayong hihinto. Matuto kayo. Mag-ipon ng karanasan. Build yourself, little by little. Be brave enough to be kind… The world doesn’t need more rumor mongers or even fashion or food influencers. Instead, we need more truth seekers and peacemakers.”

We were also graced by the presence of our dedicated public servants and academic leaders:

  • QCU Board of Regents: Coun. Joseph P. Juico, Coun. Julienne Alyson Rae V. Medalla, Coun. Ramon Vicente “RAM” Medalla
  • Ms. Maricris F. Veloso, Head, Education Affairs Unit                                                                                                         Atty. Ryan Estevez, DPA, OIC Executive Director – UniFAST CHED
  • Mr. Victor Datuin, Chief Education Program Specialist CHED-NCR
  • Atty. Rene S. Grapilon, Assistant City Administrator for General Affairs
  • Ms. Brienna Santos, President, QCU Supreme Student Council

Expressing his message of gratitude, Federico F. Bacayo, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology-Magna Cum Laude and CHED UniFAST Academic Excellence Awardee,  stood as a beacon of excellence and inspiration for all.

Leading the Pledge of Loyalty, Mr. Daryl R. Panganiban, MBA, President of the QCU Alumni Association, reminded us that this is not the end—but the beginning of a lifelong journey of service, growth, and giving back.

Culminating the Commencement Exercises 2025, Batch Sinagtala lifts their voices in unity through the graduation song — “Saranggola” by Ben&Ben.

Like a kite soaring against the wind, the song captures the bittersweet beauty of moving forward — of letting go, rising above, and embracing the unknown with courage and grace.

Congratulations, Batch Sinagtala! You are the torchbearers of a brighter tomorrow. Let your light shine in every corner of our nation. Uphold resiliency. Champion innovation. Commit to sustainability. Fight for equity.
