QCU Expands ASEAN Research Network Through PNJ Partnership
Quezon City University (QCU) strengthened its international academic partnership with Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ), Indonesia, through the signing of implementation agreements for the International Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education (I-RISE) Hybrid Conference 2026 and future joint research initiatives during QCU’s visit to PNJ on June 26, 2026.
The partnership reaffirms both institutions’ commitment to advancing collaboration in research, innovation, and higher education, while strengthening ASEAN academic linkages and supporting sustainable development.
As part of the agreement, PNJ will serve as an academic partner for I-RISE 2026, scheduled on November 19–20, 2026, at the QCU Auditorium and via Zoom. With the theme, “AI Driven Education for Sustainable Futures Advancing ASEAN and Global Collaboration,” the conference will bring together researchers, educators, and academic institutions to exchange knowledge, present research, and foster international academic cooperation.
PNJ will also nominate representatives to serve as session chairs, reviewers, resource speakers, and conference delegates, contributing to the scholarly exchange during the conference.
Beyond I-RISE 2026, QCU and PNJ formalized a separate research collaboration agreement covering joint research projects, collaborative publications, faculty and academic exchanges, capacity building initiatives, external research funding proposals, and research data sharing.
The agreement also encourages seminars, workshops, and other scholarly activities that support innovation and sustainable development.
The agreements were signed by QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza and PNJ Director Dr. Syamsurizal, S.E., M.M., with Dr. Ryan F. Arago, Dean of the College of Engineering, serving as witness for QCU.
The partnership marks another milestone in QCU’s continuing efforts to expand its global academic network and create opportunities for research, innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development across the ASEAN region.
