SDG 4 1017

After 20 days of learning, fun, and community engagement, the second batch of the Karunungan on Wheels (KOW) Program under the A-KOW ang Simula Pillar successfully culminated with a graduation ceremony held on June 13, 2025, at Barangay Sauyo Satellite Hall.

With the strong partnership between Quezon City University (QCU), through the Extension Management Office, and Barangay Sauyo, young learners from the BINHI (4-5 years old) and PUNLA (6-7 years old) categories were given meaningful opportunities to develop foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills in a nurturing environment.

In her inspirational message, Dr. Theresita Atienza, QCU President, highlighted the vital role of early childhood education in building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and future success. She also expressed her gratitude to the volunteers, parents, and Barangay Sauyo officials whose unwavering support made the program possible.

Meanwhile, Punong Barangay NoelF. Vitug commended the parents for their active participation and commitment throughout the program, emphasizing that their involvement greatly contributed to their children’s learning journey.

Closing the ceremony, Kagawad Karen Quilo-Diaz extended her appreciation to the volunteers, organizers, and families who dedicated their time and effort to ensure the success of the initiative.

The success of the program was further strengthened by the commitment of QCU administrative personnel who volunteered as teachers, providing valuable and enriching learning experiences for the young learners.

The successful completion of Batch 2 reflects the power of collaboration among QCU, Barangay Sauyo, volunteers, and parents in advancing accessible and quality education within the community.
