QCU Strengthens Global Partnerships and Innovation at HEPCON 2026
Quezon City University (QCU) strengthened its commitment to global cooperation, digital transformation, and innovation through its participation in the Higher Education Partnerships Conference (HEPCON) 2026, held on October 1–2, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City.
The conference brought together higher education leaders and international stakeholders to explore opportunities for collaboration in digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and the future of higher education.
Highlighting QCU’s participation, University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza joined the panel discussion on “Global Cooperation and the Future of the ASEAN Higher Education Area.” She emphasized the importance of building an inclusive and sustainable learning ecosystem while embracing digital transformation and integrating AI into higher education.
Dr. Atienza also highlighted the Quadruple Helix Model of Innovation being applied at QCU, which strengthens collaboration among the academe, government, industry, and community. Through this approach, the University promotes collaborative solutions and meaningful innovations that respond to societal needs and contribute to sustainable development.
Further showcasing QCU’s commitment to innovation, the QCU Robotics Team presented the University’s robotics innovations and international achievements during the conference.
Among the team’s notable accomplishments was its participation in the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, from April 21–30, 2026. QCU proudly represented the Philippines in the international competition, including the VEX University World Robotics Championship, highlighting the capabilities of its student innovators on the global stage.
The team’s international participation reflects the talent, ingenuity, and dedication of QCU students and the University’s efforts to provide learners with opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in globally competitive environments.
Through its participation in HEPCON 2026, QCU continues to advance its commitment to inclusive and sustainable education, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and innovation, while fostering meaningful partnerships that create opportunities for students and communities locally and internationally.
