QCU, QC Environment Conclude Public Finance Course
The Quezon City Government, in partnership with Quezon City University (QCU) and the Barangay and Community Relations Department (BCRD), successfully conducted the final session of the Speaker Feliciano R. Belmonte Jr. School of Good Governance Certificate Course on Public Finance on August 1, 2026.
The culminating session, “Procurement 101, Program and Project Submissions,” brought together community leaders and stakeholders from Quezon City’s six districts. Participants gained essential knowledge and practical skills in public finance management, government procurement procedures, and the preparation and submission of programs and projects for their respective communities.
Atty. Beatriz Camille C. Jusayan served as the resource speaker, sharing insights on the principles and processes of government procurement. Her discussion emphasized transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the utilization of public resources, highlighting the importance of sound financial management in responsive and effective local governance.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ricardo B. Corpuz, Head of the BCRD, congratulated the participants for their commitment to learning and public service. He commended the community leaders for their dedication to strengthening grassroots governance and encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the course in serving their constituents with integrity, competence, and compassion.
The successful completion of the certificate course reflects the continuing commitment of the Quezon City Government, QCU, and BCRD to develop capable, ethical, and service-oriented local leaders through meaningful capacity-building initiatives.
Through the Speaker Feliciano R. Belmonte Jr. School of Good Governance, the partnership continues to empower community leaders with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to promote transparent, accountable, and people-centered governance and build stronger, more inclusive, and resilient communities.
