The Quezon City University (QCU) Kampus Ambassadors, together with representatives from the Research, Extension, Planning and Linkages Office—Mr. Lenard F. Bien, Mr. Bernard F. Gaya, and Ms. Rozi Mae A. Broqueza—participated in the Inquirer Campus Talks organized by Inquirer.net on March 5, 2026, held at the UP Asian Institute of Tourism.
The session, titled “Creating Better Visitor Experiences in Tourist Spaces,” gathered students and professionals to explore emerging trends and best practices in tourism development and destination management.
The talk featured distinguished speakers Benito C. Bengzon, Jr., Executive Director of the Philippine Hotel Owners Association Inc. (PHOA), and Cathy Saldaña, Sustainable Architecture Advocate and Managing Director of PDP Architects. They shared valuable insights on sustainable tourism, emphasizing the importance of designing visitor-friendly, inclusive, and environmentally responsible tourist spaces. The discussion also highlighted the role of innovation and sustainability in shaping the future of the tourism industry.
Through their participation, the QCU Kampus Ambassadors gained a deeper understanding of sustainable tourism practices and industry developments. The experience further strengthened their role as student leaders committed to promoting awareness, continuous learning, and community engagement within the University.
QCU remains dedicated to providing opportunities that enrich student learning beyond the classroom and support the development of socially responsible and globally aware graduates.
