QCU Partners with UPLB RDLead Team in Strengthening Research Capabilities through RECAP Training

In preparation for the upcoming Research Capability Advancement Program (RECAP) Training on Proposal Writing, Packaging, and Pitching, representatives from Quezon City University (QCU) and the UP Los Baños RDLead Team, led by Dr. Fernando Sanchez, convened online via Zoom on October 10, 2025.

The coordination meeting brought together members of Dr. Sanchez’s UPLB team and the School of Environmental Science and Management (SESAM), alongside QCU’s Research Management Office (RMO) headed by Mr. Angelito P. Bautista Jr.

The discussion centered on finalizing the training design, schedule, and workshop facilitation for the RECAP Training, which is set to take place on October 11, 18, and 25, 2025. The three-day training will feature lectures from experts of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), hands-on proposal development workshops, and a proposal pitching session with invited panelists.

Implemented under the DOST-NRCP RDLead Program, the RECAP Training aims to enhance the proposal writing and research packaging competencies of QCU faculty and staff. Ultimately, it seeks to increase QCU’s participation in national research grants and programs, further strengthening the university’s commitment to advancing research excellence and innovation.
