Strengthening Leadership: Mayor Joy Belmonte Administers Oath to New QCU-BOR Members
On March 5, 2025, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the oath-taking ceremony for the newly appointed members of the Quezon City University – Board of Regents (QCU-BOR), reinforcing the university’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth.
Taking their oaths as new members were Ms. Cecile L. Ang, representing the Business and Industry Sector, and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Director Engr. Romelen Tresvalles, representing the department. Their expertise is expected to bring valuable insights that will strengthen QCU’s partnerships, academic programs, and research initiatives.
The ceremony was witnessed by QCU University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, alongside key city officials, including Councilors Aly Medalla, Joseph Juico, Irene Belmonte, Ram Medalla, and Vic Bernardo, as well as City Administrator Michael Alimurung, ACA Don Javillonar, ACA Atty. Rene Grapilon, Education Affairs Unit head Maricris Veloso, and Michael Lim.
With these new appointments, the QCU Board of Regents continues its mission to drive academic innovation, industry collaboration, and institutional excellence, ensuring that QCU is a leading local institution for higher learning.
