QCU Student Organizations Shine at the QC Green Awards 2025
Two outstanding student organizations of Quezon City University (QCU) were recognized for their exemplary environmental initiatives after being conferred the Excellence in Climate Action – Youth-Based Category at the QC Green Awards 2025. The awardees received cash grants to support the continuation and expansion of their innovative sustainability projects.
The honored organizations were the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers – Operations Research Society of the Philippines (PIIE–ORSP) QCU Student Chapter and the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) – QCU Student Chapter, both of which showcased impactful, youth-led solutions addressing climate and environmental concerns.
The awards were formally received by the student organization representatives, together with their advisers and College of Engineering Dean, Dr. Ryan F. Arago, during the awarding ceremony.
This recognition underscores the passion, creativity, and strong commitment of QCU student leaders in advancing sustainability and climate-responsive action. Their initiatives exemplify the vital role of youth in driving meaningful change toward a greener, more resilient Quezon City.
