QCU Strengthens Global Academic Collaboration at 8th IC2IE Conference

SDG 4 9 11 17

The 8th International Conference of Computer and Informatics Engineering (IC2IE) was held on September 11–12, 2025, co-hosted by Politeknik Negeri Jakarta and Quezon City University (QCU), in partnership with the IEEE Indonesia Section.

QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza delivered a keynote address on the theme “Human-Machine Synergy Brings Together the Physical and Digital Worlds.” In her speech, Dr. Atienza highlighted the vital role of universities in preparing learners with the skills and knowledge required to navigate the evolving convergence of physical and digital systems.

Representing the Philippine delegation, Dr. Isagani Tano, Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS), gave the welcome remarks. Meanwhile, Prof. Lalaine Josefa Carrao, in collaboration with Mr. Angelito P. Bautista Jr., presented their research paper, “Generative AI in Education: Risks, Acceptance, Trust, and Usage Among Selected Students in the Philippines.”

QCU also demonstrated its active engagement in the conference through the participation of its College of Engineering faculty members—Engr. Crystalline Cortez, Engr. Maricris Eugenio, and Engr. Mary Ann del Mundo—who served as online session moderators for parallel discussions.

Through its meaningful contributions to IC2IE 2025, QCU reaffirms its commitment to fostering international academic collaboration, advancing research excellence, and promoting innovation in computer and informatics engineering.
