QCU Hosts Robotics Academy Conference & Workshops: Building Tomorrow’s Innovators
Quezon City University (QCU), in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and VEX Robotics, will host the Robotics Academy Conference & Workshops with the theme “Building Tomorrow’s Innovators” on August 29–30, 2025, at QCU San Bartolome Campus.
The two-day conference will bring together educators, students, and robotics experts to promote innovation, STEM education, and 21st-century skills development.
Present during the opening ceremony are QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza and CHED Commissioner Desiderio R. Apag III, who will share welcome and inspirational messages, respectively.
Key sessions will include “Designing the Future: A Framework for STEM, AI, and 21st-Century Skills” by Mr. Andy Lee, President of Innovation First Int’l HK Ltd. (VEX Robotics), and the VEX U Push Back: New Season Kickoff & Briefing led by Mr. William Law, Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager of the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF).
Participants will also take part in hands-on workshops facilitated by partner institutions, such as Colegio de Muntinlupa (Building a Robotics Team), Quezon City University (Robot & Building), and Pampanga State Agricultural University (Robot Programming). These sessions will allow attendees to apply robotics concepts in real time, reinforcing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
Through this event, QCU will reaffirm its commitment to innovative, inclusive, and globally competitive education, in alignment with the city government’s development agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference will also strengthen partnerships between CHED, higher education institutions, and global robotics leaders in advancing STEM opportunities for Filipino students.
