QCU, Hapinoy Team Up to Advance Community AI Skills

Quezon City University (QCU) and Hapinoy formalized a new partnership through the Online Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony held on July 24, 2026, reinforcing their shared commitment to advancing digital literacy and community empowerment through artificial intelligence.

The partnership launches the AI Can Work! Training Practical AI Skills for Work and Productivity, a collaborative initiative designed to equip members of the Quezon City University community, as well as its partner institutions and adopted communities, with practical AI competencies that enhance workplace productivity and digital readiness.

During the ceremony, Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, President of Quezon City University, expressed her gratitude to Hapinoy for its partnership and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to the successful implementation of the program. She emphasized that the initiative reflects the University’s extension mission of making emerging technologies more accessible, not only to its employees but also to the communities it serves.

For his part, Mr. Mark Joaquin Ruiz, President of Hapinoy, underscored the value of collaboration in expanding access to AI education. He shared Hapinoy’s commitment to working alongside Quezon City University in equipping individuals with practical AI skills and exploring future opportunities to extend the program’s reach to more sectors.

The ceremonial signing officially established the partnership between Quezon City University and Hapinoy, creating a platform for future collaborations that promote innovation, digital inclusion, and lifelong learning. Through initiatives such as AI Can Work!, the University continues to strengthen its role in preparing communities to thrive in an increasingly technology- driven world while ensuring that the benefits of AI are accessible, practical, and inclusive.
