QCU-GAD Launches Comprehensive Safe Spaces Training and Caravan in Partnership with CHR and PANTAY Inc.
The Quezon City University-Center for Gender and Development (GAD), in collaboration with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and PANTAY Inc., held the launch of Comprehensive Safe Spaces Training Modules and the Safe Spaces Caravan on October 17, 2025.
The event featured messages from Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, University President; Atty. Faydah Maniri-Dumarpa, Focal Commissioner for Gender of the CHR; and Ms. Mary Joyce M. Crisanto, Director of the Human Rights Policy Centers Office of CHR.
Engaging discussions were led by Ms. She Laggui, Project Management Officer of CHR; Mr. Aaron James Villapando, Project Officer of PANTAY Inc.; and Ms. Kemberly M. Tanaleon, Safe Spaces Campaign Focal of CHR. A PNP Aleng Pulis representative also shared their advocacy on safety and protection.
The program concluded with heartfelt Closing Remarks from Ms. Gracia Josue, Head of the QCU-GAD. Participants also explored interactive booths featuring IEC materials that promote gender equality and respect.
