Lighting the Way: QCU Glows Blue in Support of Mental Wellness

SDG 3 4 10 17

Tonight, Quezon City University illuminated its campus in a breathtaking display of blue. As both the New Academic Building and the Belmonte Building shone brightly in solidarity with mental health awareness. This symbolic gesture reflects hope, resilience, and the University’s steadfast commitment to fostering mental wellness within the community.

At the forefront of this meaningful event was University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, leading the QCU community alongside the QCU Peer Counselors Organization, whose dedication and compassion helped bring this vision to life.

Adding heartfelt resonance to the evening, Mr. Ben Lastimada delivered an inspiring message on the importance of prioritizing mental health, reminding everyone that caring for our minds is just as essential as caring for our bodies. His words beautifully captured the spirit of the occasion:

“Mental wellness is a shared responsibility, let’s protect it together.”

The blue illumination now stands as a beacon of compassion and unity, symbolizing QCU’s unwavering belief that even in the face of challenges, we can always light the way forward together.
