Implementing a Web-Based Citizen Data Management System to Foster Innovation and Sustainable Urban

Abstract.

Urban populations are growing increasingly complex, requiring innovative solutions for effective citizen data management and sustainable governance. This study focuses on developing a web-based system to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis, enabling real-time access to accurate information for better decision-making and resource allocation. The system features data visualization, integration with urban services, and strong security measures to ensure privacy and accessibility. A pilot implementation in a medium-sized city improved service delivery, citizen engagement, and urban planning. It also supports sustainable goals by promoting transparency, accountability, and efficient resource use. This study aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of Dasawisma data collection in Batununggal District by developing a website-based system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The traditional manual process, which is often time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient in data storage and retrieval, has been a significant challenge. The proposed website incorporates features for real-time data entry, validation, and management, seamlessly integrated with PhpMyAdmin and MySQL to ensure reliable data handling. By employing an iterative development process with user feedback, the system effectively addresses user requirements while reducing the risk of data entry errors. The findings reveal that this digital approach not only streamlines administrative tasks but also enhances the technological proficiency of PKK members, thereby fostering the sustainability and success of the Dasawisma program.
