The 2025 International Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education (I-RISE) Conference convened experts and scholars from around the world to highlight innovative approaches to preparing learners for a rapidly evolving educational landscape. The event was spearheaded by Quezon City University (QCU) in partnership with the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE), Inc.

The conference theme “Reimagining Local Innovation and Global Futures through Sustainable Education Practices” emphasized the integration of research, technology, and sustainability in education. International collaborators included Krirk University (Thailand), Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (Indonesia), and Universidade Estadual de Alagoas (Brazil), with Clarivate serving as an institutional partner.

The afternoon session was a dynamic platform for scholarly exchange, featuring 17 parallel research sessions (eight onsite and nine online) covering a wide range of topics: education and pedagogical innovation, digital learning and technological integration, sustainability and environmental education, business innovations and community solutions, and student-led capstone projects.

More than 83 papers were presented with 39 onsite presenters from 8 universities and 44 online presenters from 32 universities. Sessions were organized across academic, professional, and associate tracks, allowing both seasoned researchers and student scholars to present their work.

Local and international session chairs facilitated each breakout room, guiding discussions and ensuring smooth transitions between presentations. They moderated the ten-minute talks and five-minute Q&A segments, encouraging dialogue, asking critical questions, and connecting perspectives between onsite and virtual participants.
